Wanted to die this week! But I was told to hold on by some one that’s gone and even if I don’t believe in myself or Jesus to just try. I’m trying, I’m tired but I’m trying to give it everything

Mental health is a big issue especially with men. For almost 10 years I was on some type of antidepressants and other drugs. (Prescribed) and it got to the point where I kept trying to tell my doctor that the pills weren’t working and all they kept doing was increasing my dosage. I’ve always been terrified of pills because I didn’t want to get addicted to them. Like I find that one medication that works and I rely heavily on it. That’s why I’m so hesitant to even take a painkiller like Tylenol. I found myself asking God why all these medications weren’t working and then I started blaming God for making me this way. As I came to realize that the way God made me wasn’t a mistake things got better

"I know where my head is" his head is in the clouds. It sounds to me like he goes through life stuck in his own head like he's on autopilot and then someone tries to get his attention and he joins the rest of us outside of his head and realizes that he's no longer at his own house, or any other places where someone else might get his attention. Yes, like you both said, very much ADHD, so much to the point of him not even realizing when he goes to another place, like he's on autopilot. Have you ever driven somewhere only to get there and then think, "how did I get here? I don't remember driving here, I just remember thinking about what I have to do or what I did that I didn't like."? I'm finding that more and more common based on comments I read on other socials. It sounds like we've got our heads in the clouds.

To me, this sounds like he's calling out to Jesus. "Grab my hand I'm drowning" that's Peter when he decided to step out in the water. "Why haven't you found me?" Nate is again talking to Jesus as He is the Good Shepard who leaves the 99 to find the one who strayed off from the herd. "Traumas, they surround me" he's reaching out to Jesus again, "come to Me all who are weary, and I will give you rest". This is just my theory but it's also how I heard the song and what my mind went to.

It would give me hope if you could see that the world is the way it is because the one by whom all things were created, all that is and ever will be, the one who created the love and hope you speak of made it this way. It is just right, because HE made it for us. For us to grow. This is HIS garden. His name on earth was Yeshua. This young man is wise beyond your understanding. The raction of the "therapist" to this song is actually scary. People go for you for help and based on this reaction alone i have to assume your not one to actually understand people's struggles and instead of trying to help and understand them you just push relgion on to them. It was probably not a toxic toxic relationship they were good for each other but they were still in there trauma and pain not moving on being you and the way the relationship ended was the stepping stone for them to realize they need to change grow and move on it was probably really tough but they didn't hate each other or the relationship but they weren't ready they were each other's lesson in life to walk in the better paths

I think the only problem I have with the song is his promises that Dax himself will keep. The whole point of scripture is that we cannot keep our promises, but God can and will. Other than that, I enjoyed this song.

My problem with believing in God is that it's based on what the Council of Nicaea decided should make up the Bible.

Because I am an addict in recovery, I understood this song perfectly.

I am female, 32 years old, from Denmark but I've lived in Ukraine since 2018, and I am terrified every single day for two years now, that my darling husband will get forcefully reqruited to the army and die, like all the other men here, who have died by now. I do not have monetary means to prevent it, even if that's possible, which I don't know. I am not religious, not to say I don't believe in God - I consider myself agnostic, and believe we know too little to feel sure of many things. I think that the bible contains interesting stories, but I do not believe they were originally meant to be interpreted sexist, nor homophobic, and I do not fear God. I believe it is important to respect other people's religion in despite of colliding values, and show curiosity about how it contributed to the person's past and present. I don't think my husband worries as much as I do. He has never even been in a fist fight, he plays cute computer games and cries to some Disney movies. This all does not matter to the army, as the army in Ukraine has no choice but to fight with the minimal help given to us by political supporters. Everybody cries. Everybody dies. I think both my husband and I internalize fear and panic in this time, since life must go on, the garden must be done, the apartment must be cleaned, but I have started drinking a lot at times. I drink rarely, but when I do I can't stop, and sometimes I drink for days at a time. Liters of vodka. I have new projects happening in my private business which used to only be a hobby, and I couldn't be more excited, but I feel like I'm breaking down. I have no family. I am not in my home country. If God forbid it a thousand times, my husband was to be recruited into the army, like all the others, I would be completely alone in this world. I don't even speak Ukrainian very well. This past half a year I had no appetite, I experience heart palpitations more frequently than ever, and I feel nervous around other people all of sudden. I am worried that I might have a mental break-down, as it happened once in my youth, when I was around 15-16 years old, when I suddenly experienced both auditory and visual hallucinations, due to the stress of my family cutting me off. I have been drinking today, as I write this message - apologies if I come off too intense. I am simply terrified, and I don't know how to handle my emotions at the moment.
